Tooth Extraction

Tooth Extraction

is something that we try to avoid but, when necessary, we attempt to do it in as atraumatic way as possible. We thoroughly debride the socket and any infected tissue with the laser and ozone gas to provide for optimal bone healing. In many cases we will recommend a Socket Replacement Graft using the PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) technique.

SDWC Patients Speak Out:

“The extraction went as well as any extraction could possibly go. (Dr. Edwards has very modern equipment including a laser to speed healing). The extraction didn’t need stitches, and didn’t bleed too much. My husband didn’t need ice or pain killers. He went back to work the next day (light duty). Dr. Edwards called in the evening to check on how my husband was doing, and his office kept in touch for the next few days. Everyone in the office is very nice, helpful, and just professional. The healing has gone well, he had a cleaning in the meantime, and the next step will be to fill in the empty space when it fully heals.” –Angie’s List
