We Are What We Eat
We understand the importance of what we eat in relationship to both oral and systemic health. The adage of “you are what you eat” is true, but even truer is “you are what you eat and your gut can assimilate”. Today’s modern diet is rife with processed food and full of hidden sugar. The average American consumes 195 pounds of sugar a year up from 5 pounds 100 years ago. We teach our patients about healthier choices in their diets, particularly when we see imbalance in the mouth.
