Biocompatible Dentistry

ss. smiling coupleinvolves making choices in dental materials, products and techniques that are in alignment with health. We choose materials that have the highest level of biocompatibility for the vast majority of our patient population. We use techniques such as lasers, which is just coherent photons of light, and biocompatible with every human cell. Ozone is a natural substance that our white blood cells manufacture in the immune system’s response to bacteria.

For those patients that are chemically sensitive we are able to prescribe a Clifford Materials testing profile. The patient’s blood is sent to the laboratory and it is typed with over 13,000 trade named products and 94 chemical groups and families of dental products to determine the compatibility with that individual patient. We are very proud to have a CEREC system and we primarily use a product called EMax, which is a lithium disilicate ceramic that is very biocompatible as well as, strong and beautiful. The gum tissue is very happy around it. We welcome your concerns about biocompatibility and whether the materials that we use in our practice or right for you.
