Dentistry for the 21st Century
Digital dentistry involves the use of computers and technology. It starts with computerized practice management software that organizes the patient’s chart and records and continues with digital x-rays. It involves numerous technologies that are connected to the patient’s digital chart like Digital X-Rays and Photographs.
Today, Digital Dentistry has gone three-dimensional with the use of cone beam X-rays and CEREC one visit crown making technology. Dr. Edwards has been computerized since 1985 and has been paperless from the opening of the Smile Design Center in 2003.
