The Intra-oral camera is a tool that allows us to project the image of a tooth on to an entire computer screen. It is particularly effective at showing the condition of the teeth, the status of the existing dental work, including fractures and wear patterns.
We will occasionally use the cameral during a procedure when there is a condition that requires a decision to be made. This gives the patient the ability to visualize the situation and can be helpful in making a treatment decision.
The photos can also be helpful to help the patient obtain full insurance reimbursement.
