Smile Design Center prides itself on our comprehensive exam. We believe that together with the dentist, an educated patient is best suited to create his or her own personalized treatment that fits their needs.
INITIAL VISITS ARE FULL OF INFORMATION AND LEARNING.
Our Comprehensive exam allows Dr. Edwards to spend quality time with each patient in order to listen to your smiles health and cosmetic concerns. It is our policy to schedule 90 minutes to 2 hours of our day for each of our comprehensive exams in order to give as much information as a patient needs and wants.
During the Comprehensive Exam, Dr. Edwards takes a set of DIGITAL X-RAYS, DIGTAL PHOTOS and INTRAORAL PHOTO. He will do a thorough periodontal evaluation, fully examine the TMJ joints, utilize our state of the art laser cavity detection or the DIAGNODENT, and conduct an oral cancer screening. This examination is vital in promoting the highest standard of care for our patients.
Following this preliminary exam, Dr. Edwards will explain and recommend the treatment options specific to the beauty and health of your smile. The team will further assist you in any decision or questions you may have
